Team Focus: Hudson Valley CC

The Vikings of Hudson Valley Community College in New York are currently (27-0) on the season and are currently #1 in the most recent NJCAA Division 3 poll. Head coach Andre Cook touched base with JucoJunction today on a few of his players.
Emanuel "Tiki" Mayben has signed with Binghamton University back in the fall. Mayben, (SO) 6-foot-3 (180) from Troy, NY, played at UMASS last season where he averaged 3 ppg in 31 games played while gathering 17 minutes a game. Mayben sat out the 2005-2006 at UMASS to get eligible to play for the Minutemen. Emanuel had planned on going to Syracuse out of high school a few years back.

Mayben is currently averaging 19.4 ppg, 6.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 2.5 steals on the season for the Vikings.
Justin Gallo: (SO) 6-foot-2 (175) from Troy, NY. Gallo, a shooting guard, currently ranks second all-time at the school in scoring with 1,054 career points. Gallo is currently averaging 21.6 ppg on the season for the Vikings. Gallo is receiving Division II
interest from St Edward's (TX) and LeMoyne University.
Datwan Hemingway: (SO) 6-foot-4 (210) from Albany, NY. Hemingway played football out of high school at the University of Buffalo as a quarterback in the fall 2004. Datwan has recorded 25 double-doubles this season for the Vikings. Hemingway is averaging 19.7 ppg and 14.4 rebounds a outing this season. The undersized post player is receiving Division II recruitment.
