Team focus: Imperial Valley

Imperial Valley College is off to a fast start in Pacific Coast Conference play at (6-0). The Arabs are currently (13-8) on the season under head coach Tyson Aye. Imperial Valley is located in El Centro, CA near the Mexican border west of San Diego. The Arabs have three sophomores this season on their roaster. JucoJunction has the latest on all of them.
Brit Kelly: (SO) 6-foot-4 (180) from Alexandria, VA.

"Kelly is a combo guard who can get into the lane and hit the midrange jumper," said Aye.
Brit played at IMG Academy (FL) for awhile coming out of high school and later signed with Missouri State-West Plains where he played with them in two summer events a few years back. Kelly averaged 11.2 ppg, 3 rebounds and 2.9 assists as a freshman for the Arabs.
"Brit brings great leadership to our team," said Aye.
Oral Roberts, UC Irvine, Morehead State, UC-Riverside and Albany have expresses interest in Brit this season. Kelly is averaging 10.4 ppg, 4.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds this season for the Arabs.
Brandon Dowdy: (SO) 6-foot-4 (205) from Highland, CA. Dowdy is a transfer from the University of San Diego.
"Brandon is a big-time three-point shooter with a really quick release," said Aye.
Brandon is getting interest from San Jose State, Sacramento State, Portland State and Morehead State this spring. Dowdy on the season is at 12.6 ppg and 4.6 rebounds.
Pete Johnson: (SO) 6-foot-7 (190) from Houston, TX.
"Pete is a very athletic forward. He is more of a 4/3 man that will need to go the D2 or NAIA route," said Aye.
Johnson is 25 years old and can guard the 1-5 positions on the floor according to Aye. Pete is currently averaging 13.2 ppg and 6.8 rebounds on the season for the Arabs.
