Team Focus: Kaskaskia

The Kaskaskia College Blue Devils are currently (18-2) on the season. The Centralia, IL school is coached by John Cooksey. The Blue Devils are currently (5-2) in conference play right behind Southwestern Illinois Community College. JucoJunction had an opportunity to touch base with Coach Cooksey on some of his players' recruitment.

Dayvon Ellis: (SO) 5-foot-11 (170) from Elgin, IL. Ellis, a left-handed point guard, has an offer from Texas Pan American according to Cooksey. UT-San Antonio and

Illinois State have also shown interest in him this spring. Dayvon is currently averaging 16.3 ppg and 4.2 assists this season. He currently has scored 709 career points while playing in 50 games as a Blue Devil. Ellis is shooting 47.9% (118-246) from the floor this year.

Mariun Price: (SO) 6-foot-0 (165) from Memphis, TN. Price is a two guard that played his freshman season at Southern University. UT-San Antonio, Northern Illinois, Tennessee State and Southern Indiana (D2) are showing a lot of interest in him this spring.

Price is at 14.7 ppg and 2.1 steals this season.

Andino Ferguson: (SO) 6-foot-9 (210) from Hollywood, FL. Ferguson played his freshman campaign at Polk Community College.

"Andino will most likely have to go the D2/NAIA route. He is a good interior defender, offensive rebounder and running the floor," said Cooksey.

Andino is getting 4.1 ppg and 4.5 rebounds this year.

Kahmell Broughton, (FR) 6-foot-7 (230), and Tim Baines, (FR) 6-foot-6 (230), are having very good starts in their college careers. Broughton is averaging 9.3 ppg and 6.2 rebounds this season.

"The power forward from Carteret, NJ has a great frame and a physical presence in the paint," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.

Baines prepped at Boys to Men Academy in Chicago, IL last season. Tim is currently averaging 10.7 ppg and 6.2 rebounds while shooting 58.9% (76-129) from the floor for the Blue Devils.
