Team Focus: LA Southwest

The Los Angeles Southwest Community College Cougars finished (23-9) this season under Head coach Reggie Morris. JucoJunction just recently did a story on 6-foot-1 (SO) two guard Chris Smith. The Cougars also had some other talented sophomores on the team.
Eules Thompson: (SO) 6-foot-2 (170) from Torrance, CA:

Thompson played his high school basketball with Chris Smith at Narbonne High School. Thompson has committed to The University of Southern Utah according to coach Morris. Thompson averaged 7.6 ppg this season.
Jejuan Brown: (SO) 6-foot-7 (225) from Biloxi, MS:
Brown arrived at LA Southwest right before the school year started last fall. Brown played his freshman season at Vanderbilt University where he averaged 3.1 ppg as a freshman. Jejuan had a solid season this year for the Cougars averaging 13.9 ppg, 6.5 rebounds and shot 52% (157-302) from the floor.
"Jejuan is a finesse forward. He made first team all conference this season and can really shoot the three ball," said Morris.
Brown visited Marshall-offered and Fresno State-offered in the fall. Jejuan is receiving
interest from Cal-State Fullerton, Cal-Irvine and Arkansas called recently this spring.
Demetrius Turner: (SO) 6-foot-5 is no longer committed to Chaminade-Hawaii according to Morris. Demetrius played just five games this season for the Cougars.
Kendrick Harris: (FR) 6-foot-0 (170) from Los Angeles. Harris had a great freshman campaign. Kendrick averaged 12.4 ppg and 5.3 assists this season.
"Kendrick can really get to the basket and can hit the midrange jumper. Look for LA Southwest College to build there future around Kendrick for next season," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
