Team Focus: Missouri State-West Plains

The Grizzlies of Missouri State - West Plains are currently (23-3) on the season and ranked 16th in country in latest NJCAA Division one poll. Head coach Brian Ostermann contacted JucoJunction today about a few of his sophomores.
Morris Smith: (SO) 6-foot-4 (185) from St Louis, MO. Smith played at Western Illinois University last season as a freshman.

"Morris is having a great year for us. He has been our most consistent player throughout the season," said Ostermann.
Smith, a wing player, is averaging 12.3 ppg and 4.4 rebounds this season. Southeast Missouri State and Arkansas-Little Rock have offered Smith. Colorado, Colorado State, Bradley and Indiana State have shown interest in him.
Danny Sanders: (SO) 6-foot-3 (180) from Shelby, NC.
"Sanders is a a very hard working wing player that happens to be our best team defender," said Ostermann.
Danny is at 8.5 ppg, 5.1 rebounds while shooting 51.6% (94-182) from the floor. Sanders has only taken nine three-pointers all season long.
Rolando Little: (SO) 6-foot-9 (215) from Memphis, TN.
"Rolando can really block shots and rebound the basketball," said Ostermann.
Rolando is getting 7.8 ppg and 5 rebounds a game for the Grizzlies.
Paul Carter: (FR) 6-foot-8 from Little Rock, AR signed with Minnesota for next year. Carter will have three years to play for the Golden Gophers.
