Team Focus: North Iowa Area CC

North Iowa Area Community College plays in a rugged Division II conference with the likes of Kirkwood Community College and Des Moines Area Community College. The Mason City, IA school is led by head coach Bryan Martin. The Trojans are currently (10-12) on the season.

Greg Smalls: (SO) 6-foot-3 (180) from Charleston, SC.

"Greg is a very athletic combo guard who fills up a stat sheet. He is one of the most efficient players in the ICCAC," said Martin.

Greg is currently averaging 11.8 ppg, 6.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 4.2 steals on the season. South Carolina-Upstate has shown interest along with a host of Division Two schools this season. Smalls prepped at West Ashley High School and Eldon Academy in Petoskey, MI before surfacing at North Iowa Area Community College.

Brandon Stephens: (SO) 6-foot-6 (245) from Flint, MI. The left-handed undersized post player is currently leading the Trojans in scoring at 12.8 ppg and 5.5 rebounds on the season. The third year sophomore attended Coffeyville Community College a few years back.

"Brandon is a undersized player but he can really dominate inside the paint and has the ability to step out and knock down the three-pointer," said Martin.

Bernell Benjamin: (SO) 6-foot-2 (170) from Minneapolis, MN.

"Bernie has a very quick first step that allows him to create a good shot or create a shot for a teammate," said Martin.

Benjamin is currently at 9 ppg and 3 assists an outing for the Trojans.

The Trojans are looking to turn it around this next month and try to make some noise before heading into the region tourney.
