Team Focus: Salt Lake Community College

The Bruins of Salt Lake Community College have seven sophomores receiving Division One interest from this year's team. JucoJunction focuses on four players in this segment.

Papa Samba Guisse: (SO) 6-foot-9 from Senegal. Papa recently signed with Cal State Fullerton according to assistant coach Russell Beck. Papa was a second-team all-WAC player and averaged 6.8 ppg and 6.7 rebounds this past season for the Bruins.

Aaron Smith: (SO) 6-foot-8 from Kendrick, ID. Smith is a third-year player who transferred in from the University of Idaho. Smith has it down to three schools. Binghamton, Denver and Stephen F Austin are fighting for his services according to Beck. Smith averaged 8 ppg this season

Davell Jackson: (SO) 6-foot-1 from Las Vegas, NV. Jackson signed with UNLV out of high school as wide receiver on the football team. Jackson recently visited Division Two program Tarleton State (TX). Jackson was named NJCAA first team all-American along with SWAC player of the year honors this past season. Davell averaged 13.6 ppg, 4 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Bruins. Montevallo (AL) and Cal State San Bernardino are both recruiting Davell as well.

Yahosh Bonner: (SO) 6-foot-0 (185) from Mesa, AZ. Bonner recently signed with Northern Colorado. Bonner a transfer from Cochise College (AZ) averaged 3.5 ppg this season for the Bruins.
