Team Focus: St. Catharine College

St Catherine College in Kentucky will be going to NAIA next season. The Patriots will be joining the Mid-South Conference with the likes of Georgetown (KY),Campbellsville (KY) and Pikeville (KY). Head coach Wade O'Connor has a (94-29) record in leading the Patriots over the past four seasons. The Patriots finished this season at (22-7) and were upset in the quarterfinals of the region tourney. The Patriots have some talented sophomores to talk about this season that need some looks for the next level.
Brandon Russ: (SO) 6-foot-7 (235) from Cincinnati, OH: Russ played his freshman season at Cincinnati State where he averaged 16.8 ppg and 9.1 rebounds while shooting 62% from the floor for the Surge. This season for the Patriots Brandon hit for 16 ppg and 6 rebounds and made all region honors according to coach O'Connor. Arthur Latham: (SO) 6-foot-7 (200) from Radcliff, KY: Latham is an older kid who has clock issues will have to go the D2/NAIA route. Latham averaged 17 ppg and 7 rebounds this season while shooting 41% from three point range.
Blake Sanford: (SO) 6-foot-5 (200) from Lexington, KY: Sanford was an academic qualifier coming out of IMG Academy (FL). Sanford, a wing player, has a nice midrange game. Blake averaged 8 ppg this season for the Patriots.
