Team focus: Wabash Valley

Wabash Valley College is off to a great start this season under legendary head coach Dan Sparks. Sparks is in his second season at the Mount Carmel, IL school. Sparks coached for over 20 years down the road at Vincennes University. The Warriors are off to a fast start this season at 9-0. JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with Coach Sparks last evening on a few of his sophomores this season.
Robert Glenn: (SO) 6-foot-8 (200). The combo forward is receiving early interest from Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois and Evansville according to Sparks.

"Robert is a tweener on the floor. The combo forward can really run the floor well and is best suited for a up tempo style of play. said Sparks. Robert is a hard matchup for a power forward to guard him with his good athleticism," Sparks commented.
Glenn is currently averaging 16.7 ppg, 5.7 rebounds and shooting 68.4% (50-73) from the floor for the Warriors.
Tamas Cseh: (SO) 7-foot-0 (260) from Hungary. Cseh played last season at Frank Phillips College in Borger, TX. Tamas had signed with Louisiana Tech but landed at Wabash Valley after the coaching change at the Ruston, LA school. Indiana State and Tulsa are keeping tabs on the foreign center. Indiana State assistant coach Lou Gudino put Cseh nearby in Mount Carmel, IL. The 3rd year player DNP this past weekend for the Warriors since he was hurt. Tamas is currently averaging 4.1 ppg and 3 rebounds a night.
Nick Pope: (SO) 6-foot-5 (185) from Loris, SC. Pope is a 26 year old small forward. Nick graduated from high school back in the late 90's. Pope attended Denmark Tech in Denmark, SC earlier this decade.
"Nick has been sitting out the last two seasons. He is a smart player who really uses the glass well to score," said Sparks.
Pope is currently averaging 15 ppg and 7 rebounds for the Warriors. Nick will have to go the D2/NAIA route after this season.
