Team Focus: Weatherford College

Weatherford College head coach Mark Osina is currently in his 17th season at the Weatherford, TX school. The Coyotes are currently (18-5) in the Texas Northern Division. The Coyotes are led by three promising sophomores.
Roderick Flemings: (SO) 6-foot-7 (210) from DeSoto, TX. Flemings has been around the block in his short college career. Roderick signed with Oklahoma State out of high school. Flemings has attended North Texas University and Trinity Valley Community College last January 2007. Flemings enrolled in Weatherford College this past summer.

"Roderick is a big-time player. He has a great feel for the game, Roderick brings a talent to the floor you just can't teach," said Osina.
A lot of schools are calling on Flemings this season from North Texas to Kentucky.
"A lot of schools are calling Roderick's family," said Osina.
"Roderick leads our team in scoring and taking charges" said Osina.
He is currently averaging 22.2 ppg,12 rebounds and 57%(144-252) from the floor.
Edvinas Ruzgas :(SO) 6-foot-6 (195) from Lithuania. Edvinas is a great student with a 3.7 GPA in the classroom according to Osina. Edvinas, a small forward, was an academic qualifier coming out of high school.
"Edvinas is an unreal shooter. He can really knock down shots from the corners," said Osina.
Ruzgas is currently averaging 18.9 ppg, 4.4 rebounds while shooting 63% (132-209) from the floor and an unbelievable 55.1% (70-127) from three-point range.
Ruzgas has received interest from Seton Hall, Northwestern, Northwestern State, Sam Houston State and Utah State.
"I get about 25 calls a day on him," said Osina.
Ruzgas played at the Miller School in Virginia before arriving at Weatherford College two seasons ago.
Cortney Hill: (SO) 5-foot-10 (175) from Fort Worth, TX. Hill is currently averaging 10 ppg and 3.5 assists from the point guard position.
"Cortney is a lightning quick point guard that can score the ball," said Osina.
Hill is receiving interest from a host of Division Two schools.
