Teammates find schools

Playing together in the heart of dixie, two teammates have found schools for next fall.

Lawson State Community College Head Coach Phillip Shumpert informed JucoJunction recently that two of his players have found schools for next season. "Pierre Crawford will play at Alcorn State while Tyler Gaskins will attend St Peter's in New Jersey," said Shumpert.
The Cougars are currently 6-6 on the young season. Lawson State Community College is located in Birmingham, Ala.
Crawford, a third year player, redshirted last season after playing his freshman season at Meridian Community College in Mississippi. Crawford is currently averaging 4.2 points and 3.7 rebounds this season.
Gaskins is ranked No. 136 in the 2013 JucoJunction Top 150. Gaskins played his freshman season at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, N.M. Gaskins prepped at TAAG Academy in Tampa, Fla.
Gaskins is averaging 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season for the Cougars.
