Teammates make decision

Getting to play in the NJCAA National Tourney usually doesn't hurt a player's recruitment down the line. One player recently took a visit in the Sunshine State and decided on where he would play this coming season. "I will play at Bethune-Cookman this coming season," said Paul Scotland. The guard from Monroe College in New York will have two seasons to play at Bethune-Cookman.

The Harlem, N.Y. native played at Urban Peace High School before heading off to prep school at Eldon Academy in Petoskey, Mich. Scotland averaged 8.8 points and 2.5 assists per game this past season for the 31-5 Mustangs.
Monroe College finished in 3rd place in the National Tourney in Hutchinson after losing to the College of Southern Idaho in the semifinals.
Former teammate Sean Berry will take his game to Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens, Fla. this coming fall. The former Maryland Eastern Shore transfer informed JucoJunction of this decision.
Berry averaged 5.2 ppg and 6 rebounds this season for the Mustangs. Berry was ranked No. 142 in the 2011 JucoJunction Top 150.
