Texas Duo Sign

The signings are coming in like crazy this time of year. Colleges are starting to fill out there rosters for next season on a day to day basis. JucoJunction.com found out today that two players from the Lone Star State have signed national letters of intent for next fall.
"I have signed with Jacksonville State University of the Ohio Valley Conference for next season." Said Latay Darden of Paris Junior College. Darden 6-foot-8 forward from Virginia Beach, VA will suit up for the Gamecocks next fall. Darden prepped out of high school at Progressive Christian Academy in Camp Springs, MD before heading off to junior college.

Darden averaged 6 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 4.2 bpg this season for the Dragons. The Dragons are coached by longtime Division 1 coach Tom Schuberth. "Latay is a very long and rangy player with a great upside. He can really alter shots on the defensive end." Said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Darian Thibodeaux has signed with the University of Houston according to Navarro College assistant coach Eric Colbert. Thibodeaux visited the Conference USA school this past weekend. Thibodeaux visited Lamar and South Florida this spring and decided on the Cougars this past weekend.
Thibodeaux helped the Runnin Bulldogs to a fourth place at the NJCAA National Tourney this past March. Thibodeaux a shooting guard from Dallas, TX averaged 10 ppg and 3.8 rebounds this season for the Runnin Bulldogs. Navarro College made back to back trips to the NJCAA National with Thibodeaux on the squad.
