Texas school finds Wisconsin sleeper

Madison Area Technical College is probably not your first stop on the recruiting trail for many college coaches throughout the years. Texas Pan American found a gem at MATC in Jason Jensen. Jensen made a verbal to the Broncs recently.
Jensen, (SO) 6-foot-4 (190) from St. Francis,WI, will head to Edinburg, TX next fall with possibly three years to play. Jensen, a shooting guard, was hurt early in the season after just playing four games for the Wolfpack. He was averaging 22.2 ppg and 6.5 rebounds this season before going down with a injury. Jensen averaged 22.4 ppg, 6 rebounds and registered 2.3 steals a game last season.
The Wolfpack is currently (21-6) on the season and (13-1) in the WJCAA conference play. Jason received attention from Portland State, California-Irvine, Loyola (IL) and Rider before deciding on Texas Pan American. Jensen was recruited by Grant Leonard at UTPA, a former coach at Shorewood High School in Wisconsin. Madison Area Technical College is an NJCAA Division 3 program.
