Texas stars sign letters

Jerel Hastings, (SO) 6-foot-5 from Lon Morris College, has signed on with the University of Albany for next season. Hastings played his freshman season at Stephen F. Austin.

Jerel averaged 12.4 ppg and 7 rebounds this season for the Bearcats. Lon Morris placed in 6th place at the national tourney in Hutchinson, KS. Jerel received interest from UT-Pan American also before deciding on the Great Danes.

Landrell Brewer, (SO) 6-foot-9 (238) from Kilgore College has decided to attend Central Arkansas next season according to head coach Scott Schumacher. Brewer received interest from Nicholls State, Louisiana Tech (before the coaching change) and Southeast Louisiana. Brewer is from Bossier City,LA. He averaged 8.3 ppg and 6 rebounds this past season for the Rangers.
