Texas Tech two more juco stars

It has become quite apparent that considerable changes will be made to the Texas Tech men's basketball roster as recruiting additions continue to take place. The Red Raiders signed Howard College point guard Charlie Burgess in the early signing period and have since added California swingman Decensae White. But yesterday another prospect pulled the trigger in favor of the Scarlet and Black.
San Jose City College head coach Percy Carr told RedRaiderSports.com earlier this week that his standout forward Rogdrick Craig will play for Bob Knight next season.

"It just kind of happened suddenly, he was a guy that most schools thought would play another year here but Coach [Stew] Robinson came out here and saw that he was what they thought he was," Carr said.
Craig, the son of former San Francisco 49er running back Roger Craig, is a 6-foot-6, 235-pound forward that can play either forward position. He's averaging just over 21 points per game and just over seven rebounds and plays for a San Jose City College team that is an impressive 24-6.
"He's a multi-talented player that is very athletic, he's very explosive and can get to the basket, just all around complete player."
Craig originally signed with Pepperdine out of high school after also considering Southern Cal and Cal State-Fullerton. Craig used his first season at Pepperdine as a redshirt year before transferring into San Jose City College. He'll enter Texas Tech this fall with three years left to play.
"If I have a player that can play and Coach Knight is interested then he's going to take a chance on him because of our history together. We've had a relationship with each other for over thirty years, I've had a player from here play for him at Indiana as well."
The next day, the Red Raiders got more good news. Seven-footer Esmir Rizvic of Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida said yes to Knight as well.
"He just felt at home there, so that is where he's going. We're all very happy for him," said Gulf Coast assistant coach Jackson Dolor. "He's a hard worker and he's not a typical European. He's very aggressive."
Rizvic visited Lubbock and Texas Tech officially a few weeks ago when the Red Raiders hosted Missouri and apparently liked what he saw. He had official trips scheduled to Ohio State, South Carolina and Maryland at one time but has since canceled those. He also officially visited Purdue in October after being offered a scholarship by the Boilermakers.
Dolor compares his post man to a better looking Vlade Divac.
"He's like Divac. He can take it inside or outside, but he's better looking with the way he plays the game. He's got an outstanding hook shot that he can go toward the middle or go baseline with and other players can't block it. He's also running constantly, he runs the floor very well. People are surprised when they see him run because you won't think he can run that well," Dolor said. "His rebounding is pretty good and he's a very good defender."
Dolor was also quick to point out what Rizvic needs to work on as well.
"He needs to work on his jumper. He can shoot the three, which you won't expect, but that medium range jump shot is something he needs to get better at. Down here he's had success with the hook, dunks and put-backs."
Rizvic is the big man that Bob Knight has been desperately looking for since Andy Ellis graduated after Knight's first year. He's been close to landing one but always seemed to finish second. Drew Richards, Kenny Cooper, Perry Stevenson, Jeremy Barr, Taj Gray all had serious interest in Texas Tech, and in most cases visited the campus before opting to sign elsewhere. Rizvic ends that streak and he's the biggest one of the bunch to boot.
