The Busters are rolling
Garden City Community College is currently 13-2 on the season with head coach Brady Trenkle. Trenkle took over this past summer when Rand Chappell decided to move onto Eastern Illinois University as a assistant coach.
The Broncbusters have been led in scoring by a few sophomores this season. Talan Whitaker, an early signee with the University of Texas Pan American this fall,

played his freshman season at Northwest Kansas Tech College in Goodland, KS.
Whitaker, a undersized post player, is averaging 10.9 ppg and 6.6 rebounds while
shooting 65% (66-102) from the floor for the Broncbusters.
Jade Cathey, an instate product from Liberal, KS is averaging 13.3 ppg and 7.2 rebounds this season. Cathey signed with Kansas State University for football out of high school but never played for the Wildcats.
Cathey is converting 56% (77-137) from the floor.
