Northwest Florida State College Head Coach Steve Forbes informed JucoJunction today that Trency Jackson will play for the Texas Tech University Red Raiders next season. Coach Forbes worked for Red Raiders Head Coach Billy Gillespie at Texas A&M University.
The shooting guard will have three years to play in the Big 12 Conference. Jackson sat out at University of Southern Mississippi after failing to qualify academically. Jackson played high school ball at Wingfield High School in Jackson, Miss.
Jackson averaged 10.3 points and 3.1 rebounds this season this season for the national runner-up Raiders. The Raiders won the Panhandle Conference and finished the season at 32-2.
