Volunteer State Community College is located in Gallatin, TN. Jamaal Brantley is a sophomore for the Volunteers this season.
Brantley, originally from Columbia, SC started his college career at Atlanta Metro College back in the fall of 2011. Brantley played high school basketball at Ridgeview High School.

"Jamaal can play the 2-4 positions on the floor" said Volunteer State Assistant Coach Rafael
Howard. Brantley is currently averaging 18 ppg and 7.2 rebounds this season for the Volunteers.
Brantley has connected on 45% (126-281) from the floor and 74% (104-140) from the foul line.
The Volunteers are currently 10-10 on the season.
Sam Houston State, Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Kennesaw State, Missouri State and Southern Illinois have all shown interest in him this spring according
to Howard.
Brantley played this past summer in the Peach State JUCO Showcase in Augusta, GA.
