Third Angelina player makes decision

Angelina College in Lufkin, TX is coached by Todd Neighbors. The Roadrunners had an up and down season this past year. Rondrico Hightower decided to come back closer to home for his next two seasons of basketball. JucoJunction was contacted today by coach Neighbors when Hightower decided to end his recruitment when he signed a national letter of intent with a four year school.

Hightower, (SO) 6-foot-7 (240) from North Augusta, GA, will play in the MEAC Conference next season and at South Carolina State University. The Bulldogs hosted the power forward this past weekend on an official visit. Hightower had verballed back over the Christmas holiday to Georgia Southern but when coaching staff was let go Rico decided to open his recruitment. Rico averaged 9.6 ppg and 6.3 rebounds this season for the Roadrunners.

The Roadrunners now have three players signed on for next season. Jason Sabb (Mississippi Valley State) and Ervin Spruiel (Arkansas-Little Rock) join Hightower. JucoJunction will keep you posted on guard Kashiff Carr when he decides on a future school.
