Third player commits from Butler

The Grizzlies of Butler County Community College in El Dorado, KS now have three players committed to Division One programs for next season. Troy Pierce took an official visit the weekend before the Final Four to Charleston Southern University and walked away quite impressed with the Buccaneers and decided he wanted to committ to Head Coach Barclay Radebaugh next season.

"Troy has been a great player and leader for us the both years he has been here. Troy is the best help defender I have ever coached and he was a huge reason we won the Conference and the Region Championship this season. I think Troy will be a great fit to the Charleston Southern program," said Bargen.
Pierce, 6-foot-6 (235), hails from Emporia, KS. He averaged 9.9 ppg and 5.4 rebounds this season for the 29-7 Grizzlies. Pierce shot 55% (126-231) from the floor. Pierce finished his career at Butler County Community College with 593 points in 66 games played.
Pierce received interest and scholarship offers from Texas Pan American and Coppin State University before deciding on Charleston Southern University according to Bergen.
