Three Texas products are signed

The signings just keep rolling in here at JucoJunction and it has been tough trying to catch up with all of them. JucoJunction has the latest on three more players from the Lone Star State who have found schools for this coming fall in this article.
Gilberto Clavell, (SO) 6-foot-6 (220) from Puerto Rico, has played the past two seasons at Collin County Community College in Plano, TX under head coach Jim Sigona. Clavell signed on Thursday night with the Bearkats of Sam Houston State according to coach Sigona.

Clavell averaged 16 ppg and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 61% from thefloor this past season. Clavell was recently named MVP of the NJCAA All Star Game last weekend in Odessa, TX while scoring 19 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Gilberto played on the Puerto Rican National Team a few seasons ago while attending Florida Air Academy in Melbourne, FL. Gilberto was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year this past season while being a first team all region and NTJCAC first team selection this season.
Duwan Kornegay, (SO) 6-foot-4 (215) from Ranger College in Ranger, TX, will be heading off to Prairie View A&M next season. Kornegay, from Los Angeles, CA, averaged 13 ppg and 6 rebounds this past season for the Rangers. Kornegay received interest from Eastern Washington, UC Riverside, Sam Houston State and Montana State this spring according to head coach Rodney McConnell.
"Duwan is a very long and athletic player that can play 1-3 positions on the floor," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Le'Donte Body, (FR) 6-foot-5 from Cincinnati State Community College, will play at Prairie View A&M with Kornegay next season. Body will have three years to play in the SWAC Conference starting next season. Body hails from Dallas, TX and averaged 10.2 ppg and 4.8 rebounds for the Surge this past season. Body played at Kimball High School and was an academic qualifier coming out of high school.
