"Amir was a tremendous leader for us and not bad for a former walk on player to make it to Division One," said Smith.
Rashad visited Jacksonville State earlier this spring according to Smith. Middle Tennessee State and San Francisco also showed interest in the point guard. The Cardinals were 21-11 this season, but were 0-5 versus Navarro College and Paris Junior College. Rashad was a third-team all-region player . Amir hails from Houston, TX originally. Rashad averaged 12 ppg and 5.2 assists for the Cardinals.
Paul Crosby, (SO) 6-foot-7 from Navarro College, is off to Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. Crosby, a post player, helped the Bulldogs get to the NJCAA National Tourney this past March in Hutchinson, KS. Crosby averaged 10.2 ppg and 5.8 rebounds for the Bulldogs this past year. Crosby is from Lansing, MI.
