South Mountain Community College defeated Phoenix College this past weekend 92-82 to advance to the NJCAA D2 National Tourney in Danville, Ill. later this month. The Cougars have been led all season long by Texas Southern signee Mike Craig.

Craig averaged 22.5 points and 9.3 rebounds this season while hitting 52 percent (258-497) from the floor. The Cougars are currently 25-7 heading into the NJCAA National Tourney.
Craig received Player of the Year honors in ACCAC Conference and 1st team All Conference honors. Craig is ranked No. 112 this season in the 2012 JucoJunction Top 150.
