Tigers with a new look
Marshalltown Community College is coached by Brynjar Brynjarsson. The Tigers play in the same region with Indian Hills, Iowa Western Community College, Southeastern Community College and Northeast Community College (NE).
Mike Rodriguez is back for his sophomore season. Rodriguez, a crafty point guard, led the Tigers last season in scoring at 16.7 ppg and 4.3 assists. The Tigers finished the year at 17-14 last season.

Rodriguez shot 45% (129-288) from the floor. "Mike is a great leader and feel for the game. Mike is for sure the go to guy on the Tigers roster" said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
Rodriquez played at Redemption Christian Academy (NY/MA) for a few seasons before landing at Marshalltown Community College.
Guilherme Verardo is a small forward from Brazil. He averaged 7.2 ppg last season. Verardo shot 34% (59-173) from three point range.
Cristal Manou is a very promising freshman on the Tigers roster. Manou, a post player, hails originally from Holland. Manou played last season for Canarias Basketball Academy.
"Cristal is a left-handed post player with a great soft touch. Manou has great hands and has the ability to finish with both hands around the cup" said Swanson.
