Time to reload

JucoJunction recently spent a day in Danville, Ill. Danville is the home of actors Gene Hackman, Dick Van Dyke and some people might say Steve Schmidt. Schmidt is the head coach of the Mott Community College Bears in Flint, Mich. Read more about the Bears right here on your source for junior college basketball recruiting news JucoJunction.
Schmidt guided the Bears to NJCAA D2 Championships in 2003, 2007, 2008 and last season. Danville is the host of the NJCAA D2 National Tourney every year.

The cupboard is never empty when you take a look at the Bears roster. Fred Mattison transferred in from Kilgore College (Tex.) The Anderson, S.C. native power forward signed with Winthrop University out of high school after playing AAU ball with the South Carolina Ravens.
Coreontae DeBerry signed with the University of Detroit out of high school in Holland, Mich. "Coreontae is a very physical post player with great hands" said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson. "Coreontae loves to play physical and has great hands."
Malik Albert gives the Bears the offense they lost with the departure of last season's leading scorer John Taylor, who averaged 24 points per game. The Detroit, Mich. native can score from all over the floor from the guard position.
Instead of rebuilding the Bears reloaded for this season.
