Nelson Haggerty took over the reins of the head coaching position at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, T.X. when his former boss took a position at Abilene Christian University.

Haggerty informed JucoJunction today that Midwestern State University has signed JaMichael Rivers of Snead State Community College in Boaz, A.L. for next season.
The No.46 player in the 2011 JucoJunction Top 150 averaged 20.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game last season for the Parsons. Rivers shot 47 percent (165-354) from the floor while hitting on 36.5 percent (62-170) from 3-point range.
"JaMichael is a very athletic player who can really get to the rack when he wants to. Rivers played last summer in Jerry Mullens Top 120 JUCO Camp in Tulsa, O.K.," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
