Tough start

New Mexico Junior College didn't want to start Region 5 Conference play off to a 0-2 start. Things don't get any easier for the T-Birds on Monday when they travel to conference rival Odessa College and Josh Gray.
The T-Birds lost to Western Texas and South Plains College to start conference play.

Nevin Johnson, a former NCAA Division One transfer from Creighton University, is hearing from plenty of schools this season according to head coach James Miller.
Texas Tech, Texas Christian University, St Bonaventure, East Carolina, North Texas and
South Florida have all been in contact with Johnson this fall according to Miller.
Montarius Hall, a North Carolina native, started his college career at the College of Southern Idaho. Hall can leave NMJC with three years to play after red-shirting last season.
Hall played high school at Victory Christian in Charlotte, NC and Oak Hill Academy. Hall is a rugged power forward from Gastonia, NC.
Albany, North Carolina Central, Western Carolina, Boise State and Texas Tech have been in contact with Hall this season according to Miller.
