The Blue Storm of Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL has been under the leadership of Head Coach Jay Harrington for 30 years. The Blue Storm is currently 21-6 on the season and JucoJunction took a closer look at three sophomores who are leading the way for the GRAC Conference School in Southern Illinois in this article.
Mykel Cleveland, (SO) 6-foot-1 (190), hails from Mobile, AL.

"Mykel is the little engine that could and when he goes we go. We are winning games becuase of Mykel," said Harrington.
Cleveland, a point guard, has received strong interest this season from Bradley University and Southern Illinois University with both schools offering scholarships. Alabama, DePaul University, Georgia and Rutgers have also shown interest in the point guard according to Harrington.
"Mykel can really set the table for the offense with his great court vision and also for his knack to create his own shot," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Cleveland is currently averaging 11 ppg, 4 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season for the Blue Storm.
Kenny Leverette, a (SO) 6-foot-2 (200) combo guard, is a local kid from O'Fallon, IL.
"Kenny is truly a great team player and has really improved his game over the two years he has been here at SWIC," said Harrington.
Leverette is currently at 10.1 ppg and 3.8 rebounds this year for the Blue Storm. Kenny will need 11 hours of summer school to graduate according to Harrington. Kennt could opt to sit out next year and go part-time in the classroom or maybe even be a late signing this summer after summer school according to Harrington.
Tommy Pelczynski, (SO) 6-foot-5 (210), is a small forward from Dixie, IL. Pelczynski took an unofficial visit to Southeast Missouri State University according to Harrington.
"Tommy is a shooter that you can't leave open on the floor," said Swanson.
Pelczynski is currently at 8.1 ppg this season and wide open in his recruitment according to Harrington.
JucoJunction will keep an eye on the Blue Storm this March and we will see if they can make the trip back to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS next month.
