Two drawing interest at Mount San Jacinto

The Mount San Jacinto College Eagles in San Jacinto, CA are currently (12-7) on the season under head coach Patrick Springer. The Eagles have four sophomores on this seasons roster that are receiving recruiting interest according to Springer. JucoJunction took a closer look at the Eagles and the players' recruitment in this story.
Melvin Goins, (SO) 5-foot-11 (185) from San Diego, CA, is a point guard who transferred in from Ball State University this season. Goins is currently averaging 16.7 ppg, 4.6 assists and 2.3 steals this season for the Eagles. Goins prepped at Christian Life Center in Humble,TX before landing at Ball State University in Muncie, IN as a freshman. Goins is receiving interest from Cincinnati, TCU, Nebraska and Providence according to Springer.

"Melvin is an ultra-athletic point guard that can finish at the rim. Melvin made the all newcomer team in the MAC as a freshman," said Springer.
Mark Williams, (SO) 5-foot-10 (175) from Wilmington, DE, is a combo guard who prepped at Philadelphia Lutheran Christian a few years back.
"Mark is a physical and strong defender and penetrator," said Springer.
Mark has received some interest from Coastal Carolina University according to Springer. Williams is averaging 12.3 ppg and 3 assists this season for the Eagles.
Curtis Bush and Will Ceasar are both sophomores that will have to entertain the D2/NAIA route because of clock issues. Bush, a 6-foot-1 lefty, started off at Palomar College in 2004-2005. Bush is averaging 7.6 ppg and 5.4 rebounds this season. Ceasar is a 6-foot-3 wing player that played at Palomar College in 2005-2006. Will is getting 7.8 ppg and 5.2 rebounds this season for the Eagles.
