Two late signings at Panola

Panola College in Carthage, TX plays in a very rugged eastern Texas Conference with likes of Paris, San Jacinto, Trinity Valley, Angelina, Tyler and Navarro. Head coach Jacob Wonders just finished his second year as the Ponies man in charge. JucoJunction has the latest on two Ponies finding homes for next season.
Aamir McCleary, (SO) 6-foot-1 (175) from Philadelphia, PA, was a third year player this past season for the Ponies. Aamir averaged 9.2 ppg, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists this season. McCleary, a left-hander, will take his game to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville next season according to Wonders. SIU-Edwardsville will be a first year Division One program and has already been excepted in the Ohio Valley Conference. Aamir's older brother is 12 year NBA veteran Malik Rose who won two championships with the San Antonio Spurs.

Christopher Jones, (SO) 6-foot-0 (195) from Katy, TX, has also signed on.
"Chris signed with Prairie View A&M," said Wonders.
Jones, a left-handed strong pure point guard, averaged 9.9 ppg, 7.3 assists and 4.4 rebounds this season for the Ponies.
