"This is one of the best big men in junior college this year, coming off a team that had a great season," said Idaho State Head Coach Joe O'Brien.
Lucas will have a chance to go in and play a lot of minutes next season at the center spot for the Bengals.
Steijn averaged 10.3 ppg and 5.4 rebounds this season while shooting 54.3%(106-195) from the floor.
Lucas joins teammate DJ Posley, 6-foot-3, who signed earlier this week with Cal-Santa Barbara. Posley averaged 16 ppg this season after transferring in from IP-Fort Wayne.
