Two Panhandle prospects sign on

The Panhandle Conference in Florida produces Division One players all the time. JucoJunction has the latest on two more players you can add to the list in this article.
Brandon Crawford will be a Chant next season and play at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. Crawford played his sophomore season at Northwest Florida State College for head coach Bruce Stewart. Crawford, a combo forward from Montgomery, AL, averaged 10.6 ppg and 5.1 rebounds for the Raiders this season.

"Crawford can play both forward positions and can create some mismatches," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Crawford received strong interest from UAB and Georgia State this spring. He started his college career at Jacksonville State where he averaged 10 ppg and 3.7 rebounds in 24 minutes of action a night. Crawford played in 28 games for the Gamecocks in the Ohio Valley Conference. Crawford is now the fourth player from Northwest Florida State College to find a school for next fall. He joins Brian Bryant (Mississippi State), Toby Veal (Virginia Commonwealth) and freshman Sherrard Brantley (Georgia).
Tim Owens will head up the road from Tallahassee Community College to Dothan, AL and Troy University. Owens started his college career at Seminole Community College in Sanford, FL before landing in the Eagles Nest this fall at TCC. Owens received interest from Troy and Grambling University this spring and visited both campuses.
JucoJunction will keep close tabs on the rest of the action from the Sunshine State all month long on your source for junior college basketball recruiting.
