Two Panola prospects moving on

Two players from Jacob Wonders' Panola Junior College team are headed back to Division One. David Burrell and C.J. Clark both left D1 programs to go to Carthage, TX and play for Panola this year. Both have signed letters of intent this week.
Burrell, a 6-foot-3 Houston native, redshirted as a freshman at Texas-Pan American. He will head to Texas Southern next season.

"David is a long, skilled guard who can play multiple positions," said Panola coach Jacob Wonders. "He has the ability to play one through three. They were looking for an all-around guard and that's what he is. The attraction of being able to go home and play in front of his family was important too."
Burrell averaged 8.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists this season. He shot better than 45% from three-point range.
Clark, a 6-foot-7 combo forward, signed with Ball State.
"He has got a really good level of athleticism," Wonders said of Clark. "He wanted to find a good mid-major program where he could come in and play and contribute for two years…They want to play up-tempo and press and run and he fits into that."
Clark averaged 10.8 points and 4.8 rebounds. Panola finished 11-19 this year.
