Two Programs Emerge as Holts Leaders

Justin Holt, the athletic 6-7, 207 pound small/combo forward who put on a show this past July at Jerry Mullen's JC Showcase in Tulsa, Okla., has scheduled a pair of official visits this fall.
JUCO Junction spoke with a source familiar with Holt's recruitment, and we have the skinny on the Tacoma, Wash., native's plans.

Holt visited the University of Tennessee this past weekend (Sept. 26-28), and will next officially visit Virginia Tech next.
The source said Holt's visit to Blacksburg, Va., will take place from Oct. 10-12.
JUCO Junction is hoping to catch up with Holt in the near future for an interview. When we do so, we will publish a follow-up report.
As a freshman last winter at Tacoma C.C. in Tacoma, Wash., Holt signed with Iowa State. However, a number of factors led Holt to reopen his recruitment late last spring.
Holt is sitting out the 2003-2004 basketball season while taking classes at Tacoma C.C. If he can earn his associates degree by the end of next summer, he could have three years to play on the Division I level.
We'll keep you posted on his situation as the fall signing period approaches. Stay tuned!
