Two sign on from Brown Mackie

JucoJunction has been chasing down signings all month long and will continue to do so until we can get caught up. JucoJunction was informed this morning from Brown Mackie College head coach Francis Flax that two of his players signed on with Division One programs recently and we have the story right here.
Alexander Harrington has signed with St. Francis University of Brooklyn, NY. Alex is just learning how to play the post game. Alex was 5-foot-11 in the 11th grade of high school, said Flax. Harrington started his college career at Baltimore City College in 2006-2007. Alexander averaged 9.8 ppg and 8.3 rebounds this past season for the Lions. He picked St. Francis (NY) over Houston and Coppin State. Harrington visited all three schools and received an offer from Houston according to coach Flax.

Marquis Whitt will head back to the state of Alabama and play at Alabama A&M University next season according to coach Flax.
"Marquis's body has really improved the past few seasons here at Brown Mackie," said Flax.
Whitt averaged 6.5 ppg and 5.6 rebounds this season for the Lions. Whitt started his college career at Bevill State Community College in Alabama before moving onto Salina, KS and Brown Mackie. Whitt received interest from Louisiana-Monroe this spring according to coach Flax before deciding on Alabama A&M University for next season.
