Two signings out of California

The California community college ranks had two more players sign on the dotted line this weekend and JucoJunction has the latest on which players have found future destinations.
Walter Jackson, (SO) 6-foot-5 (180) from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton,CA, has signed with the Sacramento State University Hornets for next season. Sacramento State is coached by former San Joaquin Delta coach Brian Katz. Katz recruited Jackson to Delta and now to be a Hornet next season. Walter averaged 8.3 ppg and 10.6 rebounds and 4.5 blocks this season for Delta. Jackson led the Mustangs to the California Community College State Tournament Final Four this past March in Fresno.

Alden Gibbs, (SO) 6-foot-3 from Brooklyn, NY, has played the past two seasons at the College of the Siskiyous in Weed,CA. Weed,CA is located roughly 30 miles from the Oregon state line.
"Alden is a tweener, a bit of a slasher deluxe who can really fill up the stat sheet at the end of the night," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Gibbs will take his game to Eastern Washington University next season to play. Gibbs averaged 17 ppg, 11 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.8 steals this season. Alden over his career at Siskiyous had 967 career points in 62 games while grabbing 552 rebounds,331 assists and 234 steals. Gibbs attended Carnarsie High School in Brooklyn,NY. He attended Bakersfield College out of high school as a part time student. Alden averaged 14 ppg as a freshman.
