Two to sign on first day of late period

The national signing day starts today, April 15. JucoJunction will be at full throttle this month with commitments and verbals coming all month long. Two players out on the southwest and west coast decided they will be signing today on the dotted line. JucoJunction has the latest on these players in this article.
DeAngelo Jones, (SO) 6-foot-5 (178) from Seattle, WA, is currently enrolled at Cochise College in Douglas, AZ. The Apaches wing player will sign on the dotted line today with Northern Arizona University according to Apaches head coach Jerry Carrillo. Jones, a transfer from New Mexico State, averaged 19.4 ppg, 6.6 rebounds and 2 assists this season. Jones shot a remarkable 243 free throws this season for the Apaches while connecting on 77% (187-243).

Dwight Gordon, (SO) 6-foot-2 (175) from Rancho Cucamonga, CA, had a great two year career at Victor Valley College in Victorville, CA. Gordon, a combo guard, scored 1273 career points in 66 games at Victor Valley. Gordon scored in double digits in every game this season and recorded 62 games in his career that he scored in double digits. Gordon, a first-team all-state player will be going to UC-Riverside next season. Dwight received interest from Idaho, Portland State, Cal-Irvine and Hawaii before deciding on staying nearby at UC-Riverside.
Gordon averaged 21.9 ppg, 8.9 rebounds and 3 assists this past season while shooting 57% (250-437) from the floor. Dwight recorded a career high in his last game at Victor Valley in a playoff loss to Citrus College with 41 points.
JucoJunction will be trying to keep tabs on all the action in the signing period which starts today.
