Two visits for Central Florida post

Central Florida Community College forward DeAndre Miranda is still on the market…but maybe not for long. The 6-foot-7 prospect has an official visit to Stony Brook set up this weekend and will go to Wyoming the next weekend.
"I know he's got some buddies at Wyoming and he likes the idea of playing in the Mountain West Conference," said assistant coach Adam Gordon. "Stony Brook has been on him the longest and the hardest, so he definitely feels some loyalty there and that's why he's taking those two visits."

While those may be the top two schools, Miranda isn't shutting any doors.
"There are still a bunch of schools trying to get involved and he's still open to everything," Gordon said. "There are schools still kind of creeping around and he's still probably open to those."
As for the player Miranda is, Gordon says he can do a little bit of everything.
"He defends the post really well, can defend the perimeter, he just does all the little things," the coach remarked. "Offensively, he is kind of a garbage man, he will get a lot of putbacks. He can hit the 15-footer really, really well and can shoot the three a little bit. He's just an Illinois kid that knows how to play the game, and he's a tough kid."
Miranda played high school ball with NBA star Shaun Livingston in Peoria.
