Up and down season
Spartanburg Methodist College Pioneers currently stand at 16-9 on the season under Head Coach Jeff Brookman. The Pioneers last season finished the year in 3rd place at 35-1 in Hutchinson, KS.
The Pioneers are on a modest four game winning streak after suffering through seven losses in a row. The ups and downs of the season have Coach Brookman wondering about his young squad.

The Pioneers have been to the NJCAA National Tourney in Hutchinson, KS the last two seasons under Brookman. This season the team is relying on sophomore DaQuan Jeffries to guide the ship.
Jeffries is currently averaging 14.6 ppg and 9.9 rebounds while connecting on 48% (131-271) from the floor.
The Pioneers have three more games to finish out the regular season in Region 10 play.
Jeffries has received interest from North Florida University this spring.
