Over the last few weeks, JucoJunction has made an effort to keep fans informed of the college choices of as many of the country's top prospects as we could. With just more than a week remaining in the late signing period, 86 of the nation's junior college prospects have made their commitments. The vast majority of those 86 have signed.
However, there will be a close eye kept on those players who still have decisions to make. Here we update you on the remaining prospects in the top 100:
Tedric Hill: The number one player in the country won't play for anyone. Hill has declared for the NBA draft.
Albert Weber: Same story for the third-ranked prospect. Weber has thrown his name in the hat for the draft.
James Spencer: The 6-foot-4 star from LA City College is rumored to have committed to Wyoming. However, LACC has a policy of releasing no recruiting information until the Division One school does so and we have seen no confirmation from Wyoming if Spencer has indeed signed.
Stefhon Hannah: Hannah may be the last of the truly elite in our rankings to remain uncommitted. At No. 25 in the land, Hannah is down to three schools. He will visit Kansas State starting on Thursday. Following that visit, he'll decide between the Wildcats, Missouri and UTEP.
Derek Burditt: Burditt, from Blinn College in Texas, has also put his name in the NBA draft.
Josh Love: Love had a ton of high-major interest early. He has visited South Florida and UT-San Antonio, and at this point it seems he may end up at a mid-major school. Iowa State and Nebraska are two schools that are still at least somewhat involved, but the Big 12 doesn't seem all that likely.
Raynard Sawyer: Sawyer will not graduate from Moberly this fall and will not be able to attend a Division One school.
Lester Hudson: It is said that Tennessee, Florida State and Colorado are among the teams still heavily recruiting Hudson, ranked No. 62 on our list.
Chuma Awaji: Awaji has visited Troy. UALR, Duquesne and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi are among mid-major programs showing some interest.
Marvin Kilgore: At last check, UTEP and Cincinnati were among the teams interested, but the Bearcats have since added a couple of guards. Kilgore is one of the bigger names still on the radar.
JucoJunction has been working the phones hard to learn more about the status of Darryl Garrett, Greg Charles, Ricky Smith, Adam Hrycaniuk and Engen Nurumbi. We will keep you updated on all the happenings with the top 100 through the end of the signing period.
