The Vaqueros will look for leadership this season from D'Vonne Pickett. The point guard is one of five players on the roster from Seattle, Wash. Pickett, who played at Rainier Beach High School, averaged 18.7 points, 5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 3.3 steals per game last season.
Pickett plays with a chip on his shoulder and has received offers this fall from the University of Idaho and Seattle University while Fresno State and Boise State have shown interest according to Dreiling.
"D'Vonne has a lot of great attributes coach's want in their point guard but what makes him so special is his leadership and competitive edge," said Dreiling.
Victor Pureza, a wing player from Brazil, averaged 13.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as a freshman. "Victor is a lights out shooter and a glue guy on this team," said JucoJunction Publisher Bret Swanson.
The third year player started his college career at Mesa Community College before playing last season at Central Arizona College.
Pureza, who's 22-years-old, has received interest from Northern Arizona University this fall according to Dreiling.
Ritchie Mundunde was back home in Belgium last season after playing his freshman season at Western Nebraska Community College. "Mundunde is a 4/5 man that likes to stay in the low post and play on the block with his physical frame," said Swanson.
