Varem on the Way to PAC 10 Program

JUCO Junction has learned that Jeff Varem of Vincennes J.C. in Indiana has signed a national letter of intent with Washington State.
Bret Swanson of Swanny's Roundball Review called JUCO Junction late Wednesday night and informed us of Varem's signing.

This comes as little surprise to JUCO Junction, since we reported earlier this week that Varem was a Washington State lean.
Varem, a well built forward/swingman from Nigeria, visited Wyoming and Washington State last month. Villanova was a third school in the running but Varem never visited the Big East program.
In Varem, Washington State has landed a player who can swing between several different positions. He's athletic and powerful enough to post small players up on the low block, but also has good ball handling and passing skills for his size. He just needs to improve the consistency of his outside shot.
Varem earned second team NJCAA All-American honors this year at Vincennes. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at Washington State next year.
