Vikings duo taking visits

JucoJunction touched base with Reggie Howard today and he gave us a quick rundown a few of his players taking visits. Read more about these players in this article right here on your source for junior college basketball recruiting.
Daquan Brown and LaVanne Pennington just visited San Jose State University this weekend according to coach Howard. The Barstow College duo just completed their sophomore season's for the 22-6 Vikings.

Brown is a New York City native who averaged 11.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game this season for the Vikings. Brown made 132 of his 211 attempts from the floor. Brown finished his career in Southern California with 646 career points and 473 rebounds in 54 games played for the Vikings.
Brown visited Kennesaw State back in the fall and has received interest from Pepperdine and Ohio University this spring according to coach Howard.
"Daquan is a very efficient player from 15 feet in. Daquan is a very quick to the ball player that really likes to drive to the basket," said Howard.
Pennington, a third year player, played at Southern Mississippi before arriving at Barstow College last fall. Pennington is hearing from Hawaii and Mississippi Valley State this spring. Pennington prepped at Genesis One Christian School in Mendenhall, M.S. for two seasons before attending USM.
"LaVanne is a scorer but he can really defend the basketball very well," said Howard. Both players received all conference rewards this season for the Vikings.
