Vincennes pair ready to move on

D'Lancy Carter and Sean Smith have made their college decisions for next season. Vincennes assistant coach Brian Davis talked to JucoJunction today to give us the rundown on these two sophomores.
Carter, (SO) 6-foot-9 (260) from Houston, TX. Carter has signed on with Atlantic 10 member St. Bonaventure. The center only took one official visit and that was to the Olean, NY campus.

"D'Lancy really ejoyed the campus and the idea of playing in the A-10 Conference next season. He has a chance to go in and play right away for the Bonnies next season," said
Davis.
Carter received interest from Detroit-Mercy and Dayton this spring. He averaged
4.2 ppg and 3.1 rebounds this season for the Trail Blazers.
Smith, (SO) 6-foot-6 (215) from Gary, IN. Smith will take his game to Dekalb, IL this fall and play for new Northern Illinois head coach Ricardo Patton. Sean will play the small forward position for the Huskies next season.
"Sean believes NIU is an up and coming program and liked the idea of being close to home. Sean is a natural wing player with a long wingspan and he will be able to play that position next season," said Davis.
Smith averaged 13 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this year. Sean scored 756 points and grabbed 422 rebounds over his tw-year career at Vincennes. He received interest from Butler-offered, Detroit-Mercy-offered, Valpo-offered, St. Bonaventure and Murray State.
