Vincennes sophs getting plenty of looks

Assistant Coach Brian Davis took some time to let JucoJunction know what's going on with the Vincennes University sophomores. The Trailblazers are currently 21-6 on the season.
Sean Smith: (SO) 6-foot-6 (200) from Gary, IN. Sean is currently averaging 12.7 ppg and 6.8 rebounds from the 4/3 spot.

"Sean is having a good season and would be a solid pickup for a mid-major program needing a versatile inside-out threat," said Davis.
Butler-offered, Bradley, IPFW, Murray State, Ball State and Loyola-Chicago are following Smith this spring.
D'Ante Harris: (SO) 6-foot-3 (175) from Bossier City, LA. The shooting guard is averaging 14.1 ppg,4.5 rebounds and 4 assists this season.
"D'Ante is leading us in scoring and is really shooting the ball well. He also can really get to the basket and finish," said Davis.
Montana State-offered, Bradley, Loyola-Chicago, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech are watching Harris.
DeAndre Byrd: (SO) 6-foot-1 (190) from Cincinnati, OH.
"The combo guard is such a competitor that he doesn't do anything specatacular but is just a winner," said Davis.
De'Andre is getting 8.6 ppg,4.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per outing for the Trailblazers.
Montana State-offered, Idaho-offered, Loyola-Chicago, Bradley and Murray State are keeping tabs on Byrd this spring.
D'Lancy Carter: (SO) 6-foot-9 (270) from Houston, TX.
"Carter is a center with good skills that must just get into better shape," said Davis.
D'Lancy is averaging 4.1 ppg this season. Rhode Island-offered, St. Louis, Oklahoma, Western Carolina and Tennessee are following the big post player.
"D'Lancy has the ability to face up and shoot the ball," said Davis.
Carl Baucham: (SO) 6-foot-6 (260) from Indianapolis, IN.
"Carl is a good role player that rebounds well and runs the floor," said Davis.
He is at 4.8 ppg and 4.8 rebounds. His recruitment is very wide open.
Jeff Mattingly: (SO) 6-foot-2 (190) from Vincennes, IN.
"The hometown two guard is a very heady player that can stroke the ball. Jeff is very solid and is always in the right position on the floor," said Davis.
Mattingly is at 5.7 ppg this season.
