Vincennes star will have three years to play

J.P. Olukemi will stay at Vincennes University this coming fall semester and graduate with three years to play at the Division One level. Olukemi will not play this coming season for the Trailblazers. Olukemi will look to sign this fall and enroll at the college of his choice in the Spring semester 2010 and redshirt according to Vincennes University Assistant coach Brian Davis. Olukemi, a (SO) 6-foot-7 (215) wing player from La Habra, CA, recently played at Jerry Mullens 120 Camp in Tulsa, OK. Olukemi prepped out of high school at Stoneridge Prep in California before landing at Vincennes University in the fall 2008. Providence, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, DePaul University, South Florida and Washington State are already pursuing Olukemi this summer according to coach Davis.

"J.P. is very explosive and has a great body and he could be our next pro out of Vincennes," says Davis.
Olukemi averaged 14.8 ppg, 4.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists last season while shooting 51.6% (128-248) from the floor last season. The Trailblazers finished 22-9 last season under then first year head coach David Ragland.
