Vincennes trio worth watching

The Blazers of Vincennes University have been off since mid-December and are looking to get back into action this week. The Blazers are currently (8-4) under first year head coach David Ragland. JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with coach Ragland on three of his sophomores on this years squad in this story.
"DeAntre Jefferson is a power forward with a ton of strength and athleticism. He has shown flashes of greatness during the first semester here and I expect him to have a huge semester," said Ragland.

DeAntre has received interest from Missouri State, Southern Illinois,Ohio University, Wright State, George Mason and Valpo according to Ragland.
Jefferson played at South Georgia Tech College as a freshman in Americus, GA. Jefferson is averaging 9.5 ppg and 5.7 rebounds this season.
"Devon Archie is one of the greatest kids to be around. I truly believe his better days of basketball are ahead of him," said Ragland.
Archie received an early offer from Cleveland State this fall. Archie is receiving interest from Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, UAB, Indiana State and Valpo according to Ragland this season. Devon is currently averaging 5.7 ppg and 7 rebounds this season for the Blazers.
"John Freeman plays great defense, rebounds and scores. He does everything that needs to be done and more to help your team win," said Ragland.
Freeman has received interest throughout the first semester from Indiana State, Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois and IP-Fort Wayne according to Ragland. John is getting 12.6 ppg and 6.4 rebounds an outing this season.
The Blazers are looking to improve going into 2009 and are trying to make that journey to Hutchinson, KS in March for the NJCAA National Tourney.
