Visits and a commitment at Fort Smith

Chris Echols had a great two year career at University of Arkansas Fort Smith. Echols will take his game to the Colonial Athletic Conference next season. Chris committed today to Georgia State University.
Echols, (SO) 6-foot-6 (225) from Blytheville, AR, averaged 10.8 ppg and 5.9 rebounds this season for the Lions.

"Chris is a 4/3 man that brings it every night to play," said JucoJunction staff member Bret Swanson.
Chris scored 704 career points in 60 games played over two seasons while grabbing 382 rebounds.
"Chris really liked Georgia State University and it will help him pursue his career in the music industry when he is done playing," said Arkansas-Fort Smith Head coach Josh Newman.
Echols received first-team all-conference and second-team all-region honors this season. Chris received offers from Charlotte and Tulane. He cancelled his upcoming visit to Florida State to commit to Georgia State today.
Echols' teammate Jacolby Hardiman, (SO) 6-foot-4 (195), from Milwaukee, WI, will visit Eastern Illinois University this coming weekend March 28-30 and then will visit Central Michigan University after the Final Four.
Dominique Johnson, (SO) 5-foot-10 (150) from Kansas City, MO, will visit North Texas University some time in the near future according to Coach Newman.
