Wabash Valleys Lewis Planning Many Trips

Marques Lewis, a beefy 6-8, 260 pound power forward from Wabash Vallley College, has a number of official visits lined up this spring.

Bret Swanson of Swanny's Roundball Review caught up with WVC Head Coach Mark Nelson earlier this week. Nelson told him that Lewis will visit Southern Illinois, UAB, TCU and Memphis.

A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Lewis is a skilled big man with excellent offensive moves in the low post. He's not a run/jump guy, but he's got good mitts and uses his body well to establish position. Weight has been an issue with Marques since his high school days, so he must be careful to stay in good shape.

Nelson said that Lewis, who transferred into Wabash Valley last fall after a year at SMS/West Plains J.C., will need seven hours of summer school to graduate.
